Pike Challenge is arranged in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, for the fourth time. The tournament is limited to 50 teams, of which 10 are reserved for fly fishing teams, to meet the growing interest in fly fishing for pike. We are proud to announce that Pike Challenge is again an official qualifying event for the IGFA Inshore World Championships in Florida, as the only pike fishing tournament in the world and one of few tournaments outside North America.
Pike Challenge lasts for 2 days, with 20 hours of pike fishing around the Swedish town of Örnsköldsvik, located in the scenic High Coast area by the Baltic Sea. The Örnsköldsvik archipelago has a good pike population, but is relatively unexploited and can therefore offer great fishing opportunities in this tournament for two-man teams competing in true C&R spirit.
The rules are basically the same as the IGFA rules, and the contestants compete both as teams and individually, the individual winner qualifies for the IGFA Inshore World Championships in Florida 2011.
Besides the fishing experience, spirit of competition and the scenic nature we'd also like to offer everyone a great time by meeting with like-minded pike anglers from near and far.
